Feeling a little better now, but the sad emoticon was a hangover from yesterday I think. Being rejected, and collected by a nazi in the same moment in time, left me feeling very flat and negative about my potential and possibilities. Rejection is not good for the spirit.
But I just got home from the library with a copy of the 'Children of Men' movie, so something to watch later.
oh, it was ok, but reminded me too much of a Mel Gibson movie ...kinda formulaic and was an easy one to watch. It reminded me a little of 'The Book of Eli' which was another post-apocalyptic tale of one guy protecting something very important to the world.
I am a chines movie fan (Red Cliff 1 & 2 for some epic film work) ...and one of my all time favorites is a German movie called 'Schwarz und Weiss wie Tage und Nachte', with Bruno Ganz playing a psychotic chess player in one of his first major roles. Not a lot of apocalyptic action in that
Nononono - it is a deeply philosophical movie with so many current disturbing issues. (I don't watch Mel Gibson movies have to admit.) So much more than "a tale of one guy protecting something very important to the world"...
