Very good interview. I like getting to know the artist's work process and likes vs dislikes when approaching their craft. Cheers.

What an interesting interview, Kinga!! I'm so bad about naming my layers...I seriously want to punch myself in the face sometimes over this. I don't think I"ve ever used the puppet warp...wait, no, I think I have...I can't figure it out though.

I'm looking forward to your new artworks (Shakespeare) it sounds awesome...and I want it now...not years from now. :D :D :D

Congrats, Kinga!!

Thank you, Marni dear. As I have mentioned here to Luz, I learned my lesson with layers in the hard way :D Now I am even anal about putting everything on a separate layer and grouping them.

It takes a little while to get the feeling of the puppet warp... If you happen to go to Barnes and Nobles the new Photoshop Creative (the one that the interview is in, Issue 92) has a great tutorial of the puppet warp tool by chance. (And it was not an ad for them :D, no market relations, hehe, just a tip.)

As for the Shakespeare vocab, alas, it is on my backburner now... We'll see...

Well, I have been there with the layers and I still have not learned....drat!!! :D

Oh, I cannot wait to buy it...definitely picking it up this weekend....I mean I was gonna buy it anyway 'cause you're in it...but bonus that it has the puppet warp in it. :D :D

:) I never buy (OK, very rarely) these magazines - being sooooo frugal, mygod. I don't even dare to tell you what I usually do... OK, here it is - but promise you are (1) not rolling your eyes (2) still talking to me after this :D

So I am sitting at a table with the magazines and if I find an interesting article/pic/etc I am...khm...taking a picture of it (of the magazine page...)

I bought this one though because my son insisted :D

You have to promise too...I do the same thing!!!!! Hahahahahaha...dang, we're so bad. :D I try to nonchalantly do it...but sometimes it's just blatant. :D Just checking my messages...click. :D :D :D

Well, I'm happy your son convinced you...I think you should have a copy of your interview. :)

Very awesome, KinGA! Your "TOP TIP" hits home with me. My work layers are all named and
quite robotic and repeatedly done with each work and each element and their separated
properties/versions of them... and you're so right that it pays off, because if the mechanical
engineer in me could have his way, he would like everything on earth to BE and remain,
infinitely adjustable! Elements aspect juggling to finalize... how I roll, har har ;)
Congratulations to you! :D

Thanks, Mike! Yes, I am a layer-freak, seriously. Can't even tell you how many times I have been so thankful I put every single darn element on a separate layer...! I might even be anal about it - if I have for instance a sky with star brushes I tend to put each and every star in the sky on a different layer... Sick, I know - but in that case I can rearrange them :D And I group things too, a lot.

P.S. I am trying to follow your art too - just not too much time to comment, so sorry... Hope it will be much better soon... And I have so many issues with DA submission too - got a bunch of Halloween stuff that I made during summer, they are ready to go, and wanted to post them of course for Halloween and I can't now; or with just great difficulty. Grrrrr.
